I have been crying for the last half an hour. That entire episode had so many layers of things that cut right into my heart, from Bobby's whole history really to the fact that he WAS a good father, even if it took him his whole life to realize it. I kind of adored that moment you see Sam pressing at his hand again, as if he's trying to make sure everything that is happening is real and not a nightmare.

I knew it was going to happen. The episode ended on a weirdly ambiguous note, but I feel like the ending should have been obvious. If it ends up being some sort of fake out and he's fine, I think I will be really surprised, because I felt like that entire episode was building towards Bobby not making it, right down to him really having the perfect final moment. Obviously I would prefer Bobby alive (I think my snotty nose and the fact that the collar of my shirt is damp with tears can attest to that) but if he ever had to go out, this episode was the perfect way for him to do so. I'm certainly curious to see what influence this has on the show (and totally don't understand the people claiming it's "senseless" and whatnot when we can't possibly know that yet).

It's actually weird to me that people are ranting so much about this being senseless/pointless and that they won't ever get attached to characters on this show anymore. I suppose in a way it's a natural reaction, but... in my opinion it's realistic. Death is often senseless, and it's rough getting attached to ANYONE for this reason. Personally, I don't think everything in a TV show needs to be about furthering the plot. Sometimes I really like when things like this happen, and to see the ripple effect that happens to the plot and other characters after.

Also, that WAS Chuck as the reaper, wasn't it?? Or at least the same actor? I actually assumed it was right away, but I've seen a lot of people just saying that it looked like him, so I started second guessing myself o_____O Also, I noticed that right after they first showed him, they cut to the close up on that Chuck Norris DVD, heh.

But all of this somewhat rationality aside...
