My friend just moved to Toronto to be with her fiance and she says it's sort of a mixup of US and UK but more like the UK from what she can figure out lol.

I think if I were to ever consider moving to the US the healthcare thing would be a big bump for me to consider as I like that I don't have to worry about insurance or being able to pay hospital bills etc... we don't have them at all unless we go private. (Exception being you pay for prescriptions other than contraceptives, and dental/optical treatments but it's all discounted).
If I'm remembering rightly you're in a sort of similar situation to me regarding needing the birth control for reasons as well as/other than actual birth control - lol. I take it atm b/c it's free and helps SO much with the womanly crap I (we) have to put up with.

$30/month is like, £20/month, which would buy you about 18-24months of the pills I take if they were on paid prescription (I get 6months of them at a time on one prescription.) I can't believe they charge that much as they much cost a tiny amount to actually produce. Drug companies have way too much power over that I think.

Vgift finally sorted... my internet is really annoying me tonight!
