I have to admit that this sort of thing really irks me when you compare reproductive health/facilities in the US to the UK.
Granted I'm not super-informed about the differences but from what I have seen we have it much easier over here when it comes to choices for women & men and their sexual/reproductive health. Main example - we don't have to pay for oral contraceptives/depo-shots/emergency contraceptives etc. Even condoms can be picked up free from some health clinics. I think it's much more sensible to provide that sort of thing for free (or for a reasonable cost) rather than the state having to help you out long-term from the things that might happen if you're not educated etc.
